Come and listen to a selection of published writers.

A selection of local published writers will read from their works and their books will be available to buy. You can chat to the authors, have your books signed and be inspired by the amazing talent from your own region.

Nabeela Ahmed is a writer, multilingual poet and spoken word artist. Her poetry manuscript was shortlisted by Verve Poetry Press in 2023. She published her novella, Despite our Differences, in 2018. She teaches creative writing in schools, libraries, online and for Authors Abroad, The National Literacy Trust and festivals such The Bronte’s Wild Women and Jaag etc. She has compiled two anthologies from these sessions. She hosts Shairana Moasam for JKTV, where guests are poets of Pahari, Urdu and English. She is slowly working on her poetry manuscript to be published by Yaffle Press and her novel.
