Keighley Library

North Street, Keighley, BD21 3SX

Keighley Library is a Grade 2 listed building and is one of the most remarkable public buildings in the North of England. It was the first public library in England to be funded by Andrew Carnegie and opened to the public in 1904. An extension was added in 1961.

The building was fully refurbished in 2007, with many original features restored, and improvements made to lighting, heating and internal layout. A fully accessible lift to the Local Studies Library on the first floor is now in place.
