APPLE DAY at Bowling Park Community Orchard

Come to Bradford Environmental Services annual free celebration of all things appley on Sunday 13th October.  The event is free to all and will include stalls selling a large variety of apples and pears, cakes and baked goodies (all with an apple or pear theme), crafting stalls for children, freshly squeezed juice to buy and demonstrations.

Willow Cutting & Weaving

Jerr Wood is a natural play area at the top of Binns Street in Bingley. Every year, the willow maze needs taming and we need your help. Join us on Saturday 5 October from 10.30 to 12.30 at Jerr Wood, top of Binns Street, Bingley BD16 4ND. No experience needed. If you have secateurs or loppers and gardening gloves, please bring them along, but some will be provided. Children aged 7+ welcome, but must be supervised by a responsible adult. Free refreshments provided. If you work with willow, you are welcome to take home what you cut!

Bingley Camera Club Meeting – Speaker Richard Davis

On September 30th we welcome Richard Davis as our speaker. Richard is a social documentary and portrait photographer who moved to Manchester in 1988 to study photography and lived and documented everyday life in Hulme, which, at the time, was the largest public housing development in Europe. As well as his now-historical work, he continues to document everyday life in the urban North. See Richard's Website  for some of his work.
