Thornton Light Night
A community collaboration by South Square, Thornton Community Centre and Sapgate Gardens
Get ready for Thornton Light Night, a magical event of lights, creativity, and holiday cheer! We’ll start at South Square with a lantern-making workshop where you can create your own glowing lantern to carry in our lively light and percussions parade!
The parade will set off from South Square, stopping first at the Community Centre before making its way to the illuminated Sapgate Gardens.
At Sapgate Gardens, you’ll be greeted by a festive atmosphere with carol singers, opportunity to try shadow puppet art, a light etching workshop, and an outdoor exhibition by artist Hannah Ferreira-Allen. After soaking up the magic of the gardens, we’ll all return to the Community Centre for a special treat—Santa’s arrival at 6 p.m.!
Join us for an evening filled with joy, art, and celebration as we light up Thornton together!
