The exhibition from Ilkley Civic Society and the Local History Hub contains contemporary photographs of the Great Ilkley Flood.
On 12 July 1900, during a hot summer, there was a torrential thunderstorm over Ilkley Moor. The driving rain burst the town’s becks, demolishing buildings and tearing up streets. A man died when the old coaching works collapsed. See photographs depicting this devastating natural event and learn more about this historic moment in Ilkley's past.
This exhibition runs on weekends from 14 June to 27 July. Ilkley Manor House is open on weekends from 11am to 4pm. Entry is free unless stated otherwise; no booking is required. Please check the website and our social media for the latest updates before visiting.
