Still Life Workshop

This 2-hour long workshop will be led by local artist Zoe Maxwell. Starting with guided 1-minute sketches, the session will build to a 30-minute-long detailed drawing. Then, taking inspiration from the picnic-style scene in Eularia Clarke’s The Five Thousand, you will be invited to sit and share a snack together, with cake provided by Plenty at the Square. You will be joined by the Methodist Modern Art Collection’s resident artist, Imogen Joyce, and resident writer, Becky Cherriman, who will be taking inspiration from the workshop to inform their residency outcome. Come and draw, look closer at the paintings in the Collection and enjoy a piece of cake! FREE, booking required.
