Refashioned Threads

30 Nov 2024

19:30 - 23:30

The Hive Community Centre

Join us for our next Saturday Social – Refashioned Threads

Refashioned Threads is our interpretation of swapping Pre-loved clothing to cut down on items going to landfill and for others to enjoy and for you to enjoy a new to you item or two (or more!). For this event we have chosen the theme of ‘Christmas Glitz & Glam’ as the Christmas ‘do’ and celebrations in December where a ‘new’ dress or outfit is desired, but not always within our budget.

So bring your pre-loved party dresses, outfits, accessories, bags and shoes and we will give you a voucher equivalent to the number of items you bring along. You can then come along to our informal evening, socialise, have a drink from the bar and go ‘shopping’ with your voucher. You may even get carried away and want more items than your voucher is worth or perhaps you don’t have any items to bring along to swap, don’t worry all we ask is just £1 per item (bargain!)

The Moors film (31 minutes long) .

Following a successful premiere last month, we are showing this locally filmed movie again just in time for Halloween!

Filmed on Baildon and ilkley moor, this ‘comedy horror’ tells the story of a seemingly perfect village, which harbours a sinister secret that stretches back four decades, where countless visitors have vanished on the moors. Police investigators, Dean and Ash discover the grizzly truth after a dog walker, two fly-tippers and several unruly individuals not abiding by the ‘village rules’ are caught up in the ferocious beasts’ full moon rampage leaving a bloody trail of destruction and terror.
