Millennium Way Walks – the Fifth Walk led by Bradford CHA

Oxenhope Station (Keighley and Worth Valley Railway station)

The walk ( 5'5 miles) starts and finishes at Oxenhope Station. What3Words -///wider.ironclad.september. This is a gentle walk with very little climbing (742 ft) out towards Stake Hill on Oxenhope Moor. We turn towards Nab Scar with an option to see a Stanza Stone ( http://www.stanzastones.co.uk), beginning a lovely return along the Bronte Way at Sawood towards Leeming Water and back to our start point.We will pause for a lunch break at an appropriate point.

Level of difficulty : easy , especially for regular walkers.

Bring suitable clothing and boots for any wet or uneven ground. Bring plenty of water and a packed lunch.

Public Transport: 662 from Bradford Interchange at 9.15am . Arrives Keighley Bus Station at 10.02. K14 Oxenhope bus leaves at 10.20am . Alight at Hebden Bridge Road/West Drive Stop and walk down Station Road to Oxenhope Station. Option to return to Keighley on KWVR train from Oxenhope after the walk.

Drivers: we are grateful to Keighley and Worth Valley Railway for permission to use their Overflow car park on Harry Lane near the station. Please share cars if you can to reduce pressure on the car park space.
