Two much-loved English folk acts are joining forces for a special tour marking International Women’s Day.
We’re delighted to welcome Lady Maisery and O’Hooley & Tidow to our intimate pop-up venue for an evening of celebration, solidarity, peace, unity, rage and love.
Lady Maisery brings together Hazel Askew, Hannah James and Rowan Rheingans into an English folk supergroup without equal. Tender, the trio’s recent album, explores the power in vulnerability, the tenderness of collective wounds and the strength we find in kindness. Expect self-penned songs and traditional tunes alongside unexpected covers from the likes of Björk and Tracy Chapman.
O’Hooley & Tidow found nationwide fame through their earworm theme to BBC One’s Gentleman Jack, but the Yorkshire duo’s catalogue runs deep – highlighted by recent album Cloudheads, a powerful and personal collection that digs into the hearts, minds, passions and inner worlds of these two highly individual autistic women.
The two acts will perform individuals sets on the night, before teaming up to bring this special show to a close.
