Comedy favourite Howard Walker launches a new residency at Silsden Town Hall with three doses of his comedy club every year, starting in January 2025. Howard welcomes three more top comedians to the stage this January with performances from Alex Boardman, the Halls of Ridiculous and Nina Gilligan.
Regular MC of the Comedy Store, Alex Boardman was a writer on John Bishop’s Britain. Sarah Millican says he’s a “great comic and a skilled writer”, Jason Manford describes him as one of the “most assured confident stand-ups on the circuit”.
The Halls of Ridiculous is an award-winning improvised comedy sketch duo, currently supporting Russell Kane on tour. Last year, they won the title “Best Alternative Act” at the Yorkshire Comedy Awards.
Nina Gilligan comes fresh from her Fringe show ‘Goldfish’, a show about the things she can’t remember and that thing she wishes she could forget. A “vivacious, life-embracing performer, with a cheeky ready wit” (Scotsman), she’s the Hebden Bridge comic winning awards across the country. Chortle winner, Leicester Mercury Comedian of the Year winner, Yorkshire Comedy Awards winner, Liverpool Hot Water Comedian of the Year winner… it’s no wonder Rolling Stone describes her as a “Phenomenal Performer”.
Howard Walker still doesn’t want to know what you had for breakfast.
