There is always plenty for children to do in Ilkley Manor House on weekends, such as the dressing-up box, decorating with chalk, and arts and crafts. But visit us every second Saturday of the month for a special family fun session guided by our volunteers and staff, with a new activity each time!
All events run from 2 to 3:30pm – booking is not required and entry is free, although donations are always appreciated.
THEME: READY, SET, GO!
11 MAY
Leap into action at our first Spring Fair, where you can dance around the maypole and take part in nature activities, like gardening! Take home what you make.
8 JUNE
Play with traditional games and toys, and colour with chalk in the courtyard.
10 AUGUST
Participate in the Ilkley Manor House Olympics, inspired by Paris 2024!

For this year’s Heritage Open Days, make your own Roman road, colour in Roman characters, follow the trail around the fort, & dress up as Roman soldiers.

Make your own Roman shield!

Take inspiration from this month’s exhibition and print shapes and patterns.
14 DEC
Hand-print Christmas cards and decorations.
