Join Mohammed Dhalech a trustee for Friends of the Dales and campaigner of environmental & social justice, for a 5.5 mile walk from Saltaire to part of the new Bradford Pennine Gateway National Nature Reserve.
This walk is moderately challenging with a steep uphill climb to Baildon Moor where you will be rewarded with 360° of panoramic views over to Leeds, Bradford, Emley Moor and Rombalds Moor.
Kabeer Bostan a Senior Manager of Plans for Places team at Natural England will be joining the walk to talk about the designation of this urban National Nature Reserve and how it differs to other protected landscapes, such as the Yorkshire Dales.
This guided walk offers a unique opportunity to learn more about some of the Bradford’s industrial past and the moorland, glens and woods this is set amongst.
Timings include time to eat a snack or packed lunch.
