Welcome to Everything is Connected!
As part of Bradford’s City of Culture 2025 celebrations, five venues in the Methodist Church’s Yorkshire West District are exhibiting artworks held in the Methodist Modern Art Collection (MMAC), enabling conversations around faith, hidden or overlooked histories, and diverse and marginalised heritage. There is also a series of reproductions of works in the Collection that can be seen at bars and cafés along North Parade in Bradford City Centre.
While each venue has its own theme, they are all linked via the Everything is Connected Art Trail. The venues have worked with their respective local communities, organisations and schools to creatively respond to the artworks – you can see some of their work displayed alongside artworks from the Collection.
Most of the paintings on display at Woodhouse Grove School depict scenes of the Easter story – hope seems very far away in this event. But the hope rests in that first Easter – so much hope out of so much sorrow. The Woodhouse Grove School community have posed and explored questions around hope and what it means to them; they invite visitors to do the same.
Please pick up an Art Trail leaflet to find out more about what’s on at each venue.
