Chris Norman is ‘coming home’ for a one-off concert at St.George’s Hall, Bradford this September.
Chris Norman is celebrated as the frontman for the giant 70’s rock band Smokie, who had countless hits with notorious singles such as Living Next Door To Alice, I’ll Meet You At Midnight, Lay Back in the Arms of Someone and If You Think You Know How to Love Me. A duet with Suzi Quatro, Stumblin’ In gave Chris his first taste of success outside the group and, in 1986, Chris left the band and started his successful solo career. His first single Midnight Lady became a massive hit throughout Europe.
In his career to date he has had 21 hit singles and released around 22 albums, selling over 20 million records worldwide and now, to celebrate 55 years since turning pro, Chris has released a new album titled Junction 55 with 12 new songs written by Chris or in collaboration with others. Three songs are written with his old friend and fellow Smokie band member Pete Spencer.
Chris says, “the title reflects the fact that I am at a new junction in my career and it has been 55 years since I turned pro.”
