Discover places & stories of Brontë visits to the town with Nancy de Garrs, their servant at Thornton & Haworth.
Led by Irene Lofthouse - writer/performer, social historian & re-teller of secret stories.
Starting at Local Studies in Keighley’s Carnegie Library (the first in England), the walk takes you through art, music, literature, travel and funfair visits. What made Branwell whoop? Which shops did they favour? Where were coaches caught? Who were influential friends?
See Keighley through Brontë eyes before heading back to Local Studies for refreshments and a chance to look at Brontë displays and archives.
