Bradford Belles are an absolutely fabulous collective of older women – both professional artists and community performers – who use humour, creativity and play to challenge stereotypes around age in society. They’re an inspirational mainstay of community events in Bradford, and we’re thrilled they’re coming to The Beacon.
The Belles will be bringing their new walkabout act to Wibsey Park, followed by a show incorporating dance, clowning, comedy and much more… including some of the Belles’ trademark surprises. Come and say hi to one of our favourite only-in-Bradford groups.
About the artists
Bradford Belles launched in 2019 to bring together older women and build self-esteem, confidence and friendship across boundaries of community and background. The Belles use creative performance techniques as tools to improve physical and mental health, and encourage participants to celebrate older life in the fast lane! The group is open to older women who want to get involved – for details, see the Belles’ website.
Performances are at 12pm & 2pm
