Bingley History Alive

3 May 2025

10:00 - 16:00

1871 Cafeteria, Damart Mills (entrance via Bradley Street)

Come along to Damart Mill, Bradley Street on 3 May to visit the Bingley and District Local History Society`'s new base on its first day of opening to the public. We have a fabulous archive treasures from local history.

There will be an exhibition provided by both the Bingley & District Local History Society and the Cottingley History Society.

In the 1871 cafe there will be weaving activities for children led by staff from the Bradford Industrial Museum.

There will also be an exceptional display of rare postcards of the local area from the Graham Hall collection.

We have a fine display of Bingley district photographs from the 1950`s and 1960`s taken by a local photographer, Frank West who lived on Park Road, Bingley. Come and see how much Bingley has changed, and what you can still recognise!

This is a free event, open to everyone. The event is part of the Bingley25 weekend of activities, see @BingleyCreates
