Beehive Poets at Bradford City Library

6 Jun 2025

19:00 - 21:00

City Library

Join Beehive Poets for our next meeting, at 7PM on Friday 6th June in Bradford City Library. We will be hosting Sarah Corbett, with a supporting reader to be announced.

The Ishtar Gate is Sarah Corbett's sixth collection of poetry, just out with Pavilion Poetry (Liverpool University Press, 2025). A Perfect Mirror was published in 2018 (Pavilion Poetry), and her verse-novel And She Was, came out with Pavilion in 2015. Her work has been shortlisted for the T.S. Eliot Prize and the Forward Poetry Prize and widely translated and anthologized. In 2022 Sarah produced and directed the Sylvia Plath Literary Festival and co-edited After Sylvia : Poems and Essays in Celebration of Sylvia Plath (Nine Arches Press, 2022). She taught Creative Writing in higher education ( 2004 - 2025) for The Open University and Lancaster University and currently lives in Hebden Bridge.

We look forward to seeing you there!
