Arguably JB Priestley’s most famous work, this iconic play continues to engage audiences in theatres across the world, and has been adapted for the screen numerous times.

Set in 1912, a prosperous Yorkshire family is visited by a mysterious inspector investigating the death of a young girl. At first, they deny knowing her, but it becomes clear that they all had some influence on her life.

Although the world has changed so much from the time of the play, the messages remain relevant and resonate with all ages. And has Alistair Sim ever been bettered as the Inspector?
