Saltaire Village

Saltaire Festival, the friendly, community based autumn package of delights returns 14 – 22 September 2024. We have an exciting mix of art, music, performance, entertainment, gardens, artisan food and goods, music and more for you to enjoy this year.

Roberts Park

On Saturday and Sunday, 14th and 15th September, Roberts Park in Saltaire will host a colourful lineup of experiences. Highlights include circus skills and entertainment for kids, talented local musicians performing on the bandstand, and community groups and artisan producers ready to welcome you. There’s a beginners’ yoga class on both mornings, and the Peace Dance Academy will showcase several dance routines from their recent show, “Seasons”. We’re adding events in the run-up to the festival, so keep checking the website, our social media channels, and the festival map – look out for the purple icons here.

Open Gardens

Another firm favourite returns over the same weekend – Open Gardens. Incredible horticulture spectacles in gardens and often small yards in the heart of Saltaire village.

Salts Mill

Not to be missed is Ian Beesley’s acclaimed photographic exhibition, “Life Goes On”, and the masterful Hockney exhibition, “A year in Normandie”, both at the wonderful Salts Mill, open from Wednesday Sunday. Entry to both exhibitions is free. There is a special guided tour of “Life Goes On” by Ian himself (pre-bookings only, tickets £6.00, see our Events page for details). Just a short leisurely stroll away at the Caroline Street Social Club, ten local artists come together for an exhibition of their fabulous works, all of which will be available to purchase from 12 pm to 5 pm, Saturday 14th September 2024.

More mid week

Our mid week activities, from Monday 16th – Friday 20th September includes a comedy night at Salts Beer Factory a children’s story time, Wind on the Water – poetry by Peter Miller, a film night, a special DJ set, dancing to the Wurlitzer at Victoria Hall and a separate guided tour of the Hall itself. We’ll publish more details soon – please keep checking back and follow us on social media as some events are subject to confirmation.

Final weekend, 21 and 22 September

Three stages, all genres plus food and drink make it heaven for music lovers. The bandstand in Roberts Park, The Golden Stage in Caroline Street car park and the main stage in Roberts Park will host an incredible array of bands and musicians to enjoy and there is no admission charge. The line up in the park is completed by specialist traders, a fun fair and street theatre for little ones. Continue to check back for details of the performers. The popular continental market returns Friday to Sunday on Exhibition Road, and please make sure to visit the local charities exhibiting at the United Reformed Church
