Awkward Family Portraits (AFP) have been dishing out rockin’ roots music to the streets of Glasgow Scotland since their formation in 2016, Cutting their teeth on a diet of regular live performances around diverse local music haunts, AFP have been gathering a wide-ranging demographic of loyal supporters over the past 2 ½ years; securing their position in Glasgow’s thriving underground roots music scene.
They have been steadily evolving and expanding their music; continually cultivating their sound and refining their techniques. Rather than existing in a closed box, they present a fresh diet flavoured by old-school Americana, rock and roll, bluegrass, blues and Western swing, using ‘roots music’ as an umbrella term to encompass their eclectic range of styles and sounds.
