Join Nicola Murray from Kynd at Bradford Industrial Museum for a drop in craft activity, and learn how to make your own Corn Dolly.
The making of a figure to represent the spirit, goddess, or the harvest maiden from a sheaf can be dated back to the 1500s.
In the 1600s to 1800s the designs developed, apparently becoming more associated with end of harvest, the harvest home and harvest supper.
This will be a drop-in activity suitable for families and should take around 15 minutes to make.
There’s no need to book, although PAYF donations for the workshop are appreciated.
