Miriam Margolyes in Conversation

29 Jun 2024

15:15 - 16:15

St George’s Hall

She’s delighted us on-screen for decades. You’ll know her from the dozens of extraordinary credits to her name, including The Age of Innocence, Romeo + Juliet, Blackadder and the Harry Potter series, among countless others. Iconic Miriam Margolyes is one of the UK’s most recognisable actresses and is here to join us for a very special conversation about her memoir, Oh Miriam!

With a cast list that stretches from Churchill to DiCaprio, Dahl to Dietrich, Princess Margaret to Maggie Smith, Miriam is ready to bare it all.

Her memoir covers everything from 'How to Stay Married' to 'Don't Let the B*stards Get You Down', how to break the thickest conversational ice, why swearing is actually good for you (though not on the Today programme) and the unexpected things she learned at school.

Join Miriam, Britain's naughtiest national treasure, as she shares stories from the uproarious adventure that is her life well lived.
