Some Day My Prints Will Come

18 May - 8 Jun 2024

11:00 - 15:00

Trapezium Gallery

Ruth Fettis, Annie Fforde and Patrick Whitehead are printmakers working in diverse ways with different approaches, styles, and processes, but they all share a passion and enthusiasm for printmaking and a strong desire to share this with the wider community in the Bradford District.

‘Some Day My Prints Will Come’ is an exhibition of unique original prints including works in linocut, etching, drypoint, aquatint, monotype and woodcut.

Ruth is a skilled linocut printmaker who creates large, narrative and figurative prints motivated by social issues and events from within the local community and beyond.

Inspired by both the changing dramatic colours of the Pyrenees, where she lived, and by Sylvia Plath’s poetry and music, Annie’s prints often combine printmaking methods, including monotype, etching and woodcuts.

Patrick, inspired by his travels overseas and a love of different cultures. creates solar etching and drypoint prints. His subject matter ranges from architecture and crowds to everyday scenes.

The exhibition is free and is open on Tuesdays, Fridays and Saturdays.
