At a time when the world can feel divided, we invite you to gather in the spirit of faith, friendship, conversation and shared hope for our district’s future.
At a time when the world can feel divided, The Tent of Hope invites you to gather in a spirit of friendship, faith and shared humanity. Inspired by the tradition of the tent of meeting – a space for welcome and storytelling, this day in Lister Park will bring together people of all faiths and none to reflect, connect, and celebrate Bradford’s rich diversity.
Through gentle creative activities, guided walks, discussions, music, storytelling, and opportunities to observe or participate in worship, we’ll explore how faith and community can continue to shape a hopeful, compassionate future for our city.
Bradford’s history is full of neighbourly solidarity and interfaith dialogue – even in challenging times. Our skyline reflects this legacy , with churches, mosques, gurdwara’s, temples, synagogue, and community spaces standing as symbols of connection and care. These spaces have long offered not only worship but welcome, pastoral support, serving food, shelter, and hope.
Tent of Hope is both a celebration and a gentle call to action. It reminds us of the vital role our faith community play in nurturing belonging and building a city where all can flourish. Come, take a seat and bring your presence to this shared journey of hope.
