Shipley Celebrate Culture – Thursday 12th June

12 Jun 2025

10:00 - 16:00

The Peace Museum

Two free events are taking place today including:

- InCommon Exhibition, Peace Museum, 3rd Floor Salts Mill
In 1981, a group of women set off from Wales to protest against the US cruise missile base at Greenham Common. They stayed for 20 years. Their movement is a symbol of creativity and commitment to creating change that echoes through to peaceful activism today. Join us as we celebrate their stories through a new exhibition of rarely seen objects and films from our collection alongside a series of exciting events.

- Wash House Gardens Tour
Between 2.30pm-4pm, visit this little green gem, nestled in the terraced housing of Saltaire World Heritage Site and lovingly maintained by the local community. Discover the garden's past as Saltaire's bath house and laundry. Take a peek at the mini art gallery in a red phone box!
