CONCERT: Demian Dorelli

Join us for an intimate solo piano performance from pianist & composer Demian Dorelli on 14 November. He will be playing pieces from his Nick Drake Reimagined projects & his David Hockney-inspired original album, My Window.

Composer-pianist Demian Dorelli, born in London to an Italian fashion photographer and an English ballet dancer, grew up in an artistic environment. He chose music and, more particularly, the piano to express himself.

Demian's most significant artistic connection is with the enigmatic English songwriter Nick Drake. His piano interpretations of Drake’s compositions, life, and hidden meanings offer an enlightening view of the magical and timeless originals.

In 2021, he released his debut solo album, Pink Moon, A Journey on Piano, a reinterpretation and homage to Drake’s 50th-anniversary masterpiece. He released Five Leaves Left - Echoes on Solo Piano in February 2025, his next offering to bring Drake’s music to new ears and live audiences wherever possible. In 2023, Dorelli released an album of original solo piano compositions, My Window, inspired directly by artworks from artists like David Hockney and Jan Vermeer.

Tickets may be available on the door but will be subject to availability. Doors open at 7:00pm and the performance begins at 7:30pm. Refreshments will be available prior to the performance. The concert will run for roughly 75 minutes with no interval. Timings are approximate.

This event will take place in the Western Gallery, accessible from the ground floor via a staircase of 18 steps. Please note that there is no lift to the upstairs area.
