What to expect at a @flowandverse poetry workshop?
✨You will settle into the space with a brief mindfulness or visualisation exercise. You’re invited to close your eyes and imagine or free write if you prefer.
✨Everyone will say hello and welcome each other.
✨There’s always a ‘theme’ to help guide our writing- You will discuss the theme and read poems aloud that speak to that theme, and share the prompts.
✨You’ll be invited to take some time to write.
To help you there will be:
🎈Prompt cards
🎈Poetry books
🎈Poetry journals
🎈Cut out words from magazines (with glue and scissors!)
🎈Paints and paintbrushes if you want to pretty up your words or help you get started
🎈Written prompts
✨A quick tea break (important).
✨Everyone is invited to share their poetry OR how they felt writing the poetry / what came up for them/ whatever you feel comfortable sharing!!
