Explore the beauty of humanity and community in Rhiannon Faith’s powerful dance theatre show, nominated for Outstanding Achievement in Dance at last year’s Olivier Awards.
Step into an evening at the local pub. Every night, it’s the same landlady, the same regulars, the same shots – until suddenly, a stranger gets blown in from the cold.
This joyous, funny and radically tender show draws together the isolated, the estranged and all those who never even dreamed they were connected. With extraordinary physical performance, brave testimonials, live music and riotous pub games, we’re invited to join in the fun and revelry, as much or as little as we’d like.
Please note
At this performance there is a combination of bar stool seating (close to the action), chairs with a back and wheelchair spaces with accompanying companion seats. Seating is allocated on a first-come first-served basis. If you have any concerns, please speak to a member of our front of house team upon arrival.

Content Advice and Resources
At the heart of Lay Down Your Burdens is the understanding that we all carry baggage with us; during the evening we will learn about the characters’ burdens. These stories are based on real life testimonials and lived experiences. We’ve put some extra detail via the link below about the themes of the show so that you can be prepared along with some support resources.
