The Bradford Police Museum is an independent museum and registered charity run almost entirely by a team of enthusiastic volunteers. The museum recently became an Arts Council England Accredited Museum. The museum board is now looking for dynamic and creative volunteer board members to join our board as we continue to make a major contribution to the culture and heritage of the City of Culture 2025 year and beyond.
The board members have ultimate responsibility for the museum and are collectively responsible for its governance. The role of board member is to ensure that the museum has a clear vision and strategic direction, is sustainable, and complies with the law.
The museum is looking for applicants who have knowledge and skills within the museum Sector, whether that is with collections, learning, outreach, fundraising, governance or other relevant skills. Board members are expected to take on specific tasks and activities related to the museum’s development, supplementing and supporting the existing capabilities of the board.
