What the Brontes did at the Fringe – Haworth Festival

16 Jul 2025

14:00 - 15:30

The Old School Rooms, Church St, Haworth

The world famous Bronte Sisters come to the Edinburgh Fringe! One woman show with original songs and a kicking bonnet.

Award-winning singer/songwriter and lifelong Bronte fan Pauline Vallance presents her homage to the Brontes, imagining them at the present day Edinburgh Fringe - what shows would they go to? How would Charlotte deal with fame? The show has been presented at the Edinburgh and Morecambe Fringes, performed at Patrick Bronte's birthplace in Northern Ireland and at the Wandsworth Fringe. Described as "bringing Charlotte to life" and "the highlight of my trip to Haworth", a song from the show - Becoming Genius is taken from the album The World's a Gift, nominated for Scottish Album of the Year.
