Bradford 2025 and Stand & Be Counted, the UK’s first Theatre Company of Sanctuary, are building a house in Bowling Park – and we need your help!

The Big Blue Bradford House is a celebration of the most welcoming places in Bradford District – and it’s built from cardboard by you! It’s part of Refugee Week 2025, the world’s largest festival celebrating refugees and people seeking sanctuary, and by its theme this year: ‘Community as a Superpower’, simple acts of generosity that together become an unstoppable force.

So join your fellow Bradfordians in Bowling Park at The Beacon, Bradford 2025’s touring venue, and help us build a Moomin-inspired big blue house from cardboard to celebrate the wonderful places across Bradford where we find a warm welcome. Everyone’s welcome – you don’t need to book, and it’s all free.

Please check the Bradford 2025 website for daily timings.
