The Apartment (1960)

The 1960 Best Picture winner is a darkly comic romance from Billy Wilder. A Moving Cinema screening at Woodbank Nurseries.

Jack Lemmon stars as C.C. Baxter, an office clerk who courts favour with the executives in his office by giving them the key to his apartment for their affairs.

Among them is his boss Sheldrake, who uses Baxter’s place to sleep with the sweet elevator operator our hero has loved from afar, and Baxter becomes torn between saving the woman of his dreams and possibly losing his job.
