That Boy [With Q&A]

14 Jun 2025

16:30

Cubby Broccoli Cinema

In an unprecedented and deeply human documentary we witness an unedited, face-to-face conversation between a former neo-Nazi skinhead and a Roma man.

What begins as a confession becomes something far more powerful. The former extremist openly shares the harrowing truth of what he once did to Roma people, seeking redemption, not through performance, but through raw honesty. Opposite him sits the Roma man, listening with grace and courage as he recounts his own childhood, growing up in fear, silenced and shamed by a society that refused to see him.

Together, they go back to where it all began. Two boys, shaped by hate, trauma, and division, now men, stepping into an extraordinary moment of truth and transformation.

This film was born out of respect and connection, following the work of a researcher at London Metropolitan University, Prof Michal P. Garapich;
who saw the power in bringing these two voices together. It is a world-first. It is a piece of living history.

This private screening, held at one of Bradford’s most prestigious venues, offers a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to witness something that has never been done before. You will leave feeling challenged, changed and deeply moved.

This screening will feature an exclusive live Q&A with the Roma man himself—Toby Gorniak MBE.

Hear his story. Ask your questions. Be part of the conversation that could change the way we see each other.
