Celebrate the opening of our brand-new galleries with this fun-filled family day.

Explore our newly open Sound and Vision galleries, where you can see amazing objects from our collection, have a go a creating your own radio show, get behind the mixing desk and be part of an interactive artwork.

Take part in hands on activities suitable for the whole family and relax and enjoy some music in the foyer.

Enjoy our fantastic line-up of live local musical talent in the foyer including:

Synth-Funk pioneer Flash Cassette
Electronic alt-pop auteur Cherry Seraph
Acclaimed film & TV composer Augustin Bousfield and his one man warped-pop show
Six-piece pure Panjabi folk band Anjaana
A celebratory DJ set from the Party People Project

Take part in hands-on activities:

Strike a pose in our Sound and Vision themed photobooth
Have fun gelli printing with West Yorkshire Print Workshop
Make a shadow puppet and have a go at telling your own story with Rough Magic Theatre
Get creative with junk and make a musical instrument or coloured light changer with 50 Things
Step into the future of sound with Allstar’s immersive electronic band experience
