As part of our new exhibition, In Common, we have been widening our own web and creating links with other collections, organisations, groups and researchers who also collect and preserve the histories of Greenham Common Women’s Peace Camp.
On Saturday 28th June, we will be hosting a 'Show and Tell' day at the museum, which will explore the objects and material culture of Greenham Common.
This day will be in two parts, with one event in the morning and another in the afternoon. Each event will welcome a guest from an organisation who has a collection of items relating to Greenham Common. Using these collections as a starting point, the events will also include open discussions for attendees to discuss these objects together and share their own objects.
In the morning event, we will have Jenny Noble, Museum Curator from Glasgow Women's Library (GWL).
In the afternoon, we will have Daniel Brambilla-Payne, Curator for Politics and International Relations at LSE Library.
We invite all attendees to bring along their own objects they would like to share at this ’show and tell’ event.
If you have ever thought about donating these objects to The Peace Museum, you can read more about this process on our website here and we can also discuss this process on the day of the event.
