Paradise Now: Screening + Q&A

6 Jul 2025

17:00 - 19:00

National Science and Media Museum

Paradise Now made history as the first Palestinian film to be nominated for an Academy Award, offering a gripping, human-centred portrayal of two friends preparing for a suicide mission in Tel Aviv.

To mark the 20th anniversary of this landmark film, award-winning photojournalist, Seamus Murphy, who captured not only the stills for the film but the on-going situation in Nablus, joins us for a special anniversary screening and Q&A.

His exhibition at Bradford Literature Festival 2025, Smoke and Mirrors, captures Nablus - the city at the heart of the film – then and now revealing the ongoing reality of occupation and the enduring resonance of its themes 21 years later.
