‘Neon Intermission’ a 32-foot mural commissioned by The Leap and created by Birmingham based street artist Mohammed Ali Aerosol depicts a young Muslim woman taking an intermission to read reading while she leans against a car, and with a cityscape reflected in her car’s wing mirror.
The mural is part of The Leap’s Fuelling Futures Campaign, a partnership with Mission 44, Bradford College and Bradford Council alongside a wide range of businesses in the motor industry. The campaign centered around arts and culture as a means to engage young people, promotes and supports young people, especially minority ethnic women into careers in STEM and motor. The campaign includes public art, an apprenticeship scheme, skills workshops and a range of experiences.
