During 2025 , six walking groups are leading 16 circular walks based on the Bradford Millennium Way aimed to showcase some of Bradford's beautiful countryside.
Jan 18th is the launch of the programme at Bracken Hall Countryside Centre, and the first walk, and will be led by Baildon Walkers are Welcome. Public transport : 656 bus to terminus at the end of Lucy Hall Drive. The walk will leave from Bracken Hall Countryside Centre on Shipley Glen, drop down to the River Aire and follow a river path to Bingley. Then we will start to loop back passing the famous Five Rise Lock on the Leeds Liverpool canal before ascending the ridge above Bingley and heading back to Shipley Glen. The walk is 8 miles and is of moderate difficulty. Expect muddy paths. For advice to walkers see:
