Dancing with Colours is an interactive performance for young people (4+) and their grown-ups. It’s about seeing art everywhere and in everyone – and it shows how art can transform places and help our minds.
This participatory performance blends dance, movement, music and colour, and is co-created by artist JoAnne Haines with learning-disabled people and their families in Bradford. The audience are just as important as the performers, challenging ideas of who gets to make art – and how!
Expect a joyful, sensory and gloriously messy experience, as JoAnne invites us to dance with pastels and paint to bring the Beacon to life. Whether you jump right in or prefer to watch the spectacle, Dancing with Colours will inspire you to find moments of creativity in your own life.
