Bingley Makes Music Photographic Exhibition

10:00 - 13:00

Bingley Arts Centre

Bingley Makes Music is a new photographic exhibition by Bingley Camera club that is displayed on seven windows on Bingley Main Street and as a print exhibition inside Bingley Arts Centre.

The photographs were taken over the past year to celebrate and showcase the diversity and joy of music in Bingley. The exhibition is also available online from May 16 via: https://bingleymusictown.org.uk/

Bingley Camera Club members worked with the community organisation Bingley Music Town to document the music taking place in Bingley in all its many forms. Amongst the musical activities featured, the exhibition includes the Bingley Bellringers who continue a 350 year tradition at All Saints Church, rising star 16 year old Brandon Symonds playing the blues in a local bar and Ros Seaton who became an accidental gig organiser and promoter of sold out classical music concerts in Cottingley. The photos show community choirs, local bands and visiting musicians playing to enthusiastic audiences and in rehearsals and is an invitation to everyone to get involved with community music, arts and creativity.

The exhibition runs from 16 May - 26 June on seven windows on Main Street, Bingley with twenty prints on display inside the Bingley Arts Centre that opens Monday - Friday 10-1 pm.

The exhibition was made possible by a small arts grant from Bradford Council.
